Omnia provides various kinds of interpreting service:

Simultaneous interpreting

Generally required for large conferences and meetings: the speaker’s message has to be translated simultaneously into various languages for everybody to understand. Simultaneous interpreting requires the speaker’s words to be translated as he or she speaks.

Simultaneous interpreting demands such a high level of concentration that interpreters often work in teams of two or three and take turns to enter the sound-proofed booth.

Consecutive interpreting

Consecutive interpreting is the commonest form of on-site interpreting for training sessions, negotiations and factory visits. The speaker talks for a few minutes and then stops. The interpreter takes notes while listening and then translates the speaker’s message while the speaker waits.

Negotiation interpreting

Negotiation interpreting ensures more informal understanding for business or technical meetings involving a limited number of participants. The interpreter memorises brief passages by the speaker and translates these into the target language.

Telephone interpreting

Omnia can arrange and coordinate all kinds of telephone interpreting. Our large pool of qualified and expert interpreters have the linguistic skills and subject knowledge needed to guarantee smooth communications.
Because telephone interpreting is a remote service, travel times and costs are eliminated.
The service can also be provided for webinar style training sessions.

Whispered interpreting (Chuchotage)

Whispered interpreting or chuchotage is a technique used to convey the meaning of what is being said to just one or two people by whispering the translation into their ears.
